To get food from the food pantry:
 Bring a photo ID as proof of Fluvanna residency to the food pantry, located at 8878 James Madison Highway, Fork Union, VA. 
New hours: Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

​FLUVANNA MEALS ON WHEELS​

 

​It is our mission to see that senior, disabled, and homebound adults in Fluvanna County do not go hungry. Meals are prepared and delivered utilizing safety precautions. Meals are prepared by Fluvanna's Dogwood Restaurant in accordance with VDA* guidelines, and the meals are for heart-healthy and low-sodium diets.

BLUE RIDGE MOBILE FOOD PANTRY​

Food distribution begins at 10 am until 12 noon.

FLUVANNA COUNTY SCHOOLS STUDENT MEAL DISTRIBUTION​

​

FCPS will continue offering grab and go meals free of charge to our children, 18 years and under. Each child will receive 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals. Meals may be picked up at the Fluvanna County High School (FCHS) cafeteria on Tuesday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 25 from 7am-4pm. An adult must be accompanied by a child in order to receive the meals.

WIC SERVICES â€‹

The Official WIC program is available to low to moderate income pregnant women, recently delivered women, breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutrition risk. 

 

As a result of the shutdown, home visits will not be required for recertification until further notice.

SNAP​

​

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) can be used like cash to buy eligibile food items from authorized retailers. Authorized retailers will display either the Quest logo or a picture of a Virginia EBT card.

A SNAP account is established for eligible households and automatic deposits are made into the account each month. To access the account, they will also receive an EBT Card, which will debit the account each time eligible food items are purchased. A secret Personal Identification Number (PIN) is required to use the card.
